Disaster Recovery

Equipment can fail at any time so it’s important to check your back up routines are setup and working correctly. If you use an external automated backup routine (backing up to tape overnight for example) then it’s imperative that you check that the correct Opera paths are being included in that backup and that your Opera data is actually being included in the backups being taken.

We strongly advise that test restores of your data are performed and to think about implementing a disaster recovery policy for your company – how quickly could you be up and running again should your server fail or be damaged or stolen and what would the impact be on your business?

If you are in any doubt please check with your hardware provider or give us a call – we can also point you in the direction of an associate company who can arrange off-site back up and disaster recovery management.
